#1 Our learning activities utilize primary source material within an integrated educational environment. We offer our students graduation expectations that meet or exceed Roaring Fork School District requirements and Colorado Council for Higher Education guidelines, this includes a required capstone Senior Project that enables students to display accumulated knowledge in a specific area of interest.
#2 We seek to have a safe and friendly environment with a focus on respecting each student’s strengths while enhancing standards-based objectives. We respect each student’s ability to live up to his/her potential and offer them the chance to participate in the responsibility of designing their curriculum, within appropriate guidelines and standards. Thus we provide a commitment and passion not traditionally offered at the high school level.
#3 We make every effort to provide differentiated curriculum with individualized objectives suited to the student’s unique learning style and educational interests, with a focus on preparation for higher education. We seek to provide rigor and relevance to the curriculum, offering students the opportunity to stretch themselves in understanding the “why” not just the “how” of each subject matter.
